New Europress B-Max makes recycling even more efficient at K-Market Satukallio

Shopkeeper Pasi Aurén at K-Market Satukallio in Järvenpää, Finland, appreciates simple recycling, and with the new Europress B-Max vertical waste baler with 5G technology, recycling really is easy. Pasi Aurén began testing the new Europress B-Max in summer 2023, and the user experience and results have been really positive.

K-Market Satukallio has around 30,000 customers a month, and since it sells something for everyone, a lot of recyclable waste is generated. Recycling is important for Pasi Aurén, and the recycling rate at his supermarket is high. Mostly cardboard and plastic waste is generated, with only small amounts of mixed waste. One container is enough for biowaste too, as K-Market Satukallio delivers all edible waste food to charity. With the new Europress B-Max, meeting the supermarket’s recycling targets is easy.

”It’s nice that the B-Max can also make half bales when needed”

The number of customers in K-Market Satukallio per month is 30,000. In the picture, K-Market Satukallio shopkeeper Pasi Aurén is on the left, and Kimmo Jussila, Europress’ Major Account Director, is on the right.

Quiet operating noise is also a plus

The Europress B-Max vertical baler at K-Market Satukallio produces on average one to two bales a week. The B-Max can also produce half bales, and the bales fit nicely on Euro pallets. Pasi Aurén is happy that he switched his old waste baler by another manufacturer for the new Europress B-Max. The operating noise is so quiet that it can even be used in the evenings without having to worry about disturbing the neighbours, as the supermarket is situated close to a residential area.

Simplicity makes recycling more pleasant

The baler features a convenient infeed opening that is easy to load, for example when your arms are full carrying cardboard. By eliminating the need to open the hatch first, it cuts down on the number of steps and makes the whole process faster,” Pasi Aurén explains.

Attaching the bale straps is also easy, and both the shopkeeper and his employees confirm how simple the new Europress B-Max vertical baler is to use. The B-Max is bigger than their old baler, and it can also be used to store cardboard. Positive user experiences mean a lot, and sharing them among colleagues is important. It’s good to tell about good things!

Pasi Aurén runs another K-Market in the Kyrölä neighbourhood in Järvenpää, where he would also like to have a B-Max. Currently, he uses a Europress Balex-10 model that has been quite adequate for the smaller supermarket.

As a Europress customer, Pasi Aurén appreciates the company’s R&D work and having the opportunity to give honest and valuable user feedback. The best thing was that his feedback was also listened to and acted on.
