The Europress CombiMax SMARTSolar waste compactor is powered by solar panels and 1-phase mains power. The robust and efficient CombiMax SMARTSolar gets its power from four 300W solar panels located on its roof.

The device does not require mains power to operate, and it can be used in the summer even where electricity is not available at all. It is as effective as a conventional mains powered device. On a sunny day, it offers more than 2.5 hours of running time without mains charging. When it is not possible to get enough power from the sun, the batteries can be charged with ordinary mains power.

The CombiMax SMARTSolar is intended for 20 m3 containers, but the device can be shortened so that only half the solar panels are installed on the device. In this case, the size category is CombiMax/14-17. Feed hoppers are always tailored according to the intended use.


• Mains charging allows the device to run approx. 1/3 of the time. A device in mains mode can run for approx. 20 minutes an hour if solar energy is not available.

• On a sunny day during the 8 peak hours, the device offers more than 2.5 hours of running time from the sun without mains charging.

• Combined, on a sunny day, the device can run for a total of 8 hours between 06:00 and 22:00 (i.e. 50% of the time), which is perfectly sufficient for use when most required.

The running time on a full battery without sun or mains power is 2 hours.

Intelligent SMART technology on the compactors contributes to more cost-efficient and safe operation. Device settings can be individually adjusted to best meet various waste management requirements. The compactors monitor their usage and adapt to anomalies in order to protect both the operator and the components.

CombiMax & Combi compactors feature Europress SMART connectivity readiness as standard, enabling integration to the Europress SMART Fleet Management system. The system provides insights on asset data and tools for streamlined fleet management.
